Options for non-contact nutrition consultations
As we are now instructed to self- isolate for at least the next four weeks, I will be offering non-contact appointments via Skype, Whatsapp, Messenger, Facetime or other until we are allowed to meet again.
I think in these stressful and uncertain times accountability around eating and lifestyle behaviours is going to be even more important than usual. Loading up on high sugar and/or low nutrient food may well have a detrimental impact on your immune system and your mental health.
More than ever, we need to take care of our health by living a healthy lifestyle as much as possible.
Stay safe, be responsible and follow the self-isolate directive to help us slow down and eventually eradicate this virus.
New clients
For new clients we can work totally online by email, or just for the initial appointment and then follow ups can be by email, or video system if you prefer.
Here is how it would work:
We would book an appointment (one hour) and I will email you a questionnaire to complete and send back to me on the morning of the arranged appointment. The cost for this appointment is $110 and I would send you my bank details and ask you to deposit to my account a day or two before, so that it shows in my account before the appointment.
Full details of what the appointment(s) cover will be forwarded to you, along with any additional information I require.
I will then email back to you:
A body composition chart, drawn up from the measurements you send me
A nutrition plan set to achieve whatever your goal is (weight loss/weight gain/healthy weight maintenance, etc)
A goal sheet setting out various suggestions
A food diary
A list of suitable vegetables
Existing clients
If you are a regular client who comes in for accountability appointments,
here is how it could work.
We would lock in the time of the appointment and the duration (15 or 30 minutes).
I will email you my bank details and ask you to deposit to my account either the day before or on the day of the appointment.
As the majority of my clients are weight loss clients, I will email you a food and exercise diary to keep between appointments. On the morning of the appointment take your weight (if you have a set of bathroom scales) and email it through, together with your completed diary. If you don’t have scales we can discuss other methods of measuring progress.
At our appointment we can discuss how the week went, answer your queries, go over ideas for meals, strategies to handle various situations, etc, just the same as in person.
