Tania's Story

Tania shares her journey of breast cancer. Her message is simple. Breast Cancer kills

I have been a client of Lynda’s on and off for a couple of years.  In October 2015 I was diagnosed with Grade 2 breast cancer in both breasts and had a double mastectomy.  Three months later, I was advised the cancer had spread to my bones, so I now have what is called metastatic breast cancer, otherwise commonly known as stage 4, incurable or terminal cancer. One day I will die from it.

2016 was a terrible year of coming to terms with this diagnosis as well as losing a close family member who died of this same disease.  I went berserk and ate all the foods I shouldn’t have – and consequently piled on the weight.

I finally hated what I had done to myself, enough to make contact with Lynda again and with her help and support I have learnt what I should and should not be eating and I am starting to reap the benefits.

It is only early days, but I have decided that this year is about doing what is right for me and doing what I can to enhance the rest of my life, as I have a husband and two young adult daughters with whom I want to spend as many years as possible.

Please take a few minutes to watch the video and if possible, to share it.  The more we can get the word out about the importance of being vigilant, the more lives we can save. It may not prevent you from getting breast cancer, but early detection could save your life.

Thank you Lynda, for allowing me to share my story, and for constantly being there to answer my questions and queries. I am so grateful that you are in my life.
